The second most wonderful time of the year is here for the Eppler family! February is the official start of Lacrosse season here in Broken Arrow which means Spring will be here soon!

 

Hard to believe it's our FIFTH season for Shine to play, Eddy to coach and me to have my favorite title ever, "Team Mom." I actually left a pile of work on my desk last night and went to their first practice!

 

This email might seem random but many of our families have shared 2023 resolutions with us so I thought we might all use a little motivation to stay on track (or jump back on the wagon!) during this cold, rainy February.

 

I recently did some training with Ed Mylett and wanted to share with you. Google him.

 

He's life changing...though surely intelligent enough to make his points without some of the language (as Grandma Wandie would remind me back in the day )!

 

Our family loves his quote, "Winning is more fun than fun is fun."

 

Sounds harsh but he doesn't mean all work, no fun. He's saying we need to resist distractions when working toward our gaols, whether it's to get healthier, win a ballgame or just clean our house!

 

His point is, social media can be fun. Sleeping in can be fun. TV is ALWAYS more fun than running! But the satisfaction of achieving our goal is WAY more fun than the fleeting fun of those distractions. Pretty good, huh?
